Pink bear Ng | Your favourite little cafe

I had the cutest little solo date at the prettiest little cafe last week and it was awesome!

Pink bear cafe is a cute new cafe located at shop 12, 141 adetokunbo ademola crescent wuse 2 Abuja, Nigeria. I noticed it a while back when i was shopping at the plaza. I knew something was going on there but i didn’t know what it was, until boom! one day the pink walls caught my attention.

Here’s a review of my pink bear experience ;

Ambience

The cafe is so cute and cozy. It has large windows which really adds to the lighting of the place, the cafe is mostly pink so its hard to not admire every inch of it. My favourite part was the pink little spot by the window and the coffee tree mural on the wall. I like that particular spot because it gives you a view of the window and its quite secluded and comfortable. The place is quite small and can barely sit up to 30 people at once so its best for take outs, lunch breaks or a quick bite.

The menu

For a small cafe their menu is quite big. Normally most cafes this size sell only pastries, but pink bear is different. The have a variety of options on their menu. They have salads, pasta, pancakes, pastries, sandwiches and more. For their drinks, they have water, different types of teas, including bubble tea. Interestingly, they also have alcoholic bubble tea.

The food

I didn’t try out any savory dishes, i just went straight to the pastries pastries displayed because it just felt right at the time.
I ordered a cinnamon roll, red velvet cake slice and a chocolate cake slice.

Red velvet cake slice – N1,700

Typically, i’m not a huge fan of red velvet cake. Its really nice and i enjoy it, but its not always my first pick. Something about this cake slice was calling my name and i had to get it. Well, it turned out to be one of the best red velvet cake slices I’ve ever had! It was so creamy, moist and rich. I honestly never knew red velvet cake could taste so good. I loved it.

Chocolate cake slice – N1,500

Chocolate flavored anything would always have a space in my heart. This was no different. It was very fudgey, moist and really really chocolatey. The best part about it was that the chocolate cake was that it was really yummy and it didn’t have a lot of sugar in it.

Cinamon roll – N900

The cinnamon roll was actually the first thing to catch my attention. It was quite small, but really really nice. Definitely one of the best i’ve had.

Drink

I wasn’t really in the mood for bubble tea so i decided to try the caramel milk tea.

Caramel milk tea (small – N2,400)

The caramel milk tea was too sweet. It wasn’t really creamy and i could barely taste the caramel in it. I didn’t really enjoy it honestly.

Total bill – NGN6,500

General review

The pink bear cafe is really cute and cozy. One of the distinct things i loved about it was that they had some cute brand merch for sale. I haven’t tired out a lot of the things on their menu yet, but from what i have, i can say they have really good pastries. I would definitely be visiting soon to try out more items on their menu.
