Phew! First review of the year and boy am i excited to write this one. Happy new year to you all once again, i wish you a splendid year filled with your hearts desires.
So! to kick off the new year, my family and i decided to spend some time together eating good food, enjoying great vibes while reminiscing about 2021 and A class restaurant was just the place. It is located at A-Class Park Along Kashim Ibrahim Way Maitama Abuja, Nigeria. The place is quite huge and offers way more than good food and good vibes. Read all about it below;
Ambience
A class restaurant is quite beautiful on the inside and outside. They have an indoor space as well as outdoor sitting areas. The outdoor space is in 3 sections. There’s the Gazebo space, which is perfect for a small group of people, there’s another section which looks like a bar sitting area, and there’s a sitting area that features just trees and a few chairs and tables. The location of the restaurant makes it quite perfect for family outings because it is a safe and quiet environment with adequate parking, a play area for kids and even a male and female mosque for muslim customers.
The indoor space is quite unique and classy, just like the name implies. It is perfectly lit and stylishly decorated with a moody tone to it. the combination of wood and burnt orange really gives it a serene kind of vibe. The indoor space is actually quite large and can conveniently fit a 100+ people. I personally think it can be suitable for a small wedding reception. Another remarkable thing about A class restaurant is their nice and spacious restroom. The restrooms have nice large mirrors and are very convenient.

The Menu
The restaurant menu is packed with a whole lot of options, ranging from starters to drinks to salads, burgers, soups, desserts and so much more. Their food options are also quite affordable.
The Food
For the food, we had starters, main dishes and desserts. Jointly, we ordered – chicken strips, chicken spring rolls, Prawns fried rice, Penne Arrabbiata, mixed grill platter, chicken in hot chili & steamed rice, brownies, 2 molten lava cakes.
Starters
For starters we had chicken strips and chicken spring rolls. The starters were the first to arrive, and it took about 15minutes for both starters to be ready.
Chicken strips (4pcs) – NGN2,200
The chicken strips arrived with a side of delicious mayo dip and a little portion of salad. The strips were great, except for one that was falling apart and didn’t taste as good as the others. As a sucker for mayo dips, i absolutely enjoyed the one served and the salad was nice.
Chicken spring rolls (4pcs) – NGN2,200
It was the most chicken, chicken spring rolls i’ve ever had, lol. The were very very generous with the chicken. The spring roll had nothing but soft, juicy chicken in it. I absolutely loved it! It came with a sweet chili sauce dip, which didn’t excite me too much because i was so focused on the chicken spring rolls.

Main dishes
For our mains we ordered, Prawns fried rice, Penne Arrabbiata, mixed grilled platter, chicken in hot chili & steamed rice.
Prawns fried rice – NGN5,000
It was a combination of fried rice with shrimps, eggs, carrots, bell pepper, onions and spring onions. The rice portion was quite much and could feed 2-3 people depending on your appetite. The rice dish was simply perfect.
Penne Arrabbiata – NGN3,800
I’m going to be very honest, i was quite disappointed when the pasta arrived. I know what you must be thinking, but thats not it. I actually wanted to eat Fettuccine Alfredo, and i was telling my sister how i didn’t want arrabbiata because i already had spaghetti bolognese the previous day and i feel like eating anything with tomato sauce because it might stir up a nasty feeling. Well it turned out the waitress heard me saying arrabbiata and took it down and while she confirmed the order, i nodded my head in agreement because i was carried away. Anyway my sadness changed after i had a tasted of the dish. It was amazing! It had the right amount of heat and spice and wasn’t over cooked. The portion of the pasta was also quite much, i think it was the equivalent amount with the shrimp fried rice.
Mixed grill platter – NGN6,800
The mixed grill platter was ordered by my mum and as mama Bear, everyone had to have a share in it. The platter was a mix of chicken skewer, beef skewer, fish skewer, Lamb kofta skewer, served with grilled vegetables, pita bread and french fries. The platter was a whole lot and it was definitely very satisfying. The only thing i would take out of the platter is the side dip it was served with. I have no idea what it is called and i didn’t taste it enough to know the flavors and ingredients used because it was very distasteful.
Chicken in hot chili & steamed rice – NGN4,500
SPICY! thats the first word that would come to the tip of your tongue after you have this. If you have a very low tolerance for hot and spicy food like me, it will be too spicy for you. If you’re the type that can take the heat, it will be averagely hot. I didn’t get a picture of the steamed rice but the chili sauce was packed with chicken cubes, hot sauce, cucumber, carrots, bell peppers and onions. It was a great pair with the steamed rice.

Dessert
For dessert we had, brownies and molten lava cakes. Unfortunately, i didn’t get a picture of the cakes, but i dod get one of the brownie. The molten lava cake cost NGN3,000 each
Brownie obsession – NGN2,800
Holy mother of Fudge! This brownie was very very fudgey. It was crunchy on the outside but very moist and chocolatey on the inside. The brownie was only served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, whereas on the menu it was stated it would be served with ice cream and a drizzle of chocolate fudge and caramel.

Drinks
We had Oreo milkShake (not photographed), Chapman and strawberry Daiquiri. We also ordered some bottles of water. The Oreo milkshake cost – NGN2,800 each. It would be good to note that the A class restaurant do not offer alcoholic options.
Chapman – NGN2,000
The chapman was a mix of Grenadine, Lemon, sprite and Fanta. It taste just like normal chapman does. It was alright.
Strawberry Daiquiri – N2,800
I absolutely enjoyed the strawberry Daiquiri from the beginning to the end. It was just the way i like it.

Total bill – NGN53,662 (including 7.5% VAT and service charge of N2,385).
General review
A class restaurant is definitely befitting of its name. It is a great and family friendly environment, with really good food at affordable rates. It is perfect for date night, family treat or even a solo treat to a great meal. My family and I had a great time and i look forward to visiting again soon to try out more amazing dishes.
