Pizza Hut, Wuse Abuja.

If you’re a frequent reader of mine, you may have noticed i have been on a pizza roll lately. Galaxy pizza remains my favourite though, but as a food blogger i have to constantly try new places because i’m in search of the best of the bestest…lol. Anyway, in my pizza explorations i landed in one of the biggest pizza franchises in the world. If you’re Nigerian, you may have learnt about pizza hut from movies, the internet or abroad trips but definitely not from Nigeria. I was actually excited that they finally opened in Nigeria because it was long over due. Although they opened in 2021, i wasn’t able to visit until recently.

Pizza hut currently has two locations in Abuja. The first is located on the ground floor in Jabi Lake mall and the second is located at Kumasi crescent Wuse 2. This review will be taking a look at Pizza hut Wuse 2.

Ambience

The pizza hut space is quite spacious. The environment is clean and calm. At the time i went, it wasn’t very rowdy so i was able to appreciate the space. I most definitely appreciated the large windows and the source of light it gives the space. It is nicely decorated for a pizza place and it can fit up to 50 people at once. It strikes me as place that would be great for a kids birthday party, if they allow events.
They also have a nice outdoor space, which is most suitable in the evenings or at night because the sun will be down by then.

Menu

The pizza hut menu is quite concise. The have dessert, drinks, beverages, pasta, jollof rice, starters and several beverages. I noticed however that their pizza options were quite small. The pizza options they had were not as much as i expected. Their pricing is quite affordable. You can get a pizza for as low as N3,200. You can also get other items on the on the menu with just N2,000. This mean that it can fit a N5,000 budget for two people.

Pizza

For my pizza i had the BBQ chicken SUYA pizza (medium) – NGN3,500

I selected the BBQ chicken pizza with the traditional crust which is meant to be not too thin and not too thick. First of all i would say the medium sized pizza is actually small. Secondly, the traditional crust is not medium thick/thin it is actually thin. None of these two things make the pizza less enjoyable, it just could use a better description so customers won’t end up disappointed. The pizza package is nice and very secure. When i opened the pizza box, i was in love! I loved the colors, the pizza was cheese packed! It was definitely very cheesy. I did not regret my choice at all. Picking up a slice was a bit difficult because the pizza was hot, the crust was thin and couldn’t hold up the ingredients. The pizza tasted really nice. I absolutely loved the crust, but my sisters didn’t. The pizza did not really taste different from other bbq chicken suya pizza’s i have had, it was just nice.

General review

Pizza hut is a nice and customer friendly pizza spot. I liked my pizza and i would definitely be checking them out again soon to try out other items that have caught my eye on their menu.
