Scoop’d Ice cream bar Now in Abuja!

Fellow ice cream lovers and soon to be ice cream lovers, Welcome to the best news you will come across on the internet today. A new ice cream bar!

Scoop’d is a new but not so new ice cream spot. New because it is the first branch in the city of Abuja and not so new because it has been open in Lagos for quite some time now. They recently launched their first ever branch on 28th May 2022. and of course you know I had to be there to witness deliciousness on our behalves.

It is located at Gateway Novare Mall, Lugbe Abuja. The opening was all shades of fun and delicious. Scroll down if you wanna drool!

Ambience

The ice cream bar is located in the inside the mall which is accessible through the main door or through Dodo’s pizza. It is a small and cute space which is quite expected from most ice cream bars. There are a few chairs for customers to sit and enjoy their ice cream and meals. It is not suitable for a lot of people so take out is more advisable if you’d like to enjoy a private time.

It is a great place for a quick/casual date and is also very kids friendly.

The Menu

Scoop’d menu is actually quite impressive. I did not expect them to have so much varieties of edibles. My initial thought was that they would be selling ice cream only but that wasn’t the case. They have more than just ice cream! They have quite the variety of pastries, desserts, burgers, wraps and so much more. The menu pricing is also very affordable. A scoop of ice cream goes for N900 which is one of the cheapest in the city right now. They also have different cup serving sizes for different tastes. It can easily fit a N3,000 budget for one.

Ice cream

I think by now my ice cream flavours are already predictable. Well the reason is that whenever I try a new ice cream place I love to try flavours i’m familiar with so I can easily tell if it’s good or bad.

I tried the snickerlicious and absolute chocolate flavours. The sickerlicious flavour was quite interesting because it had nuts in it, like the snickers chocolate even though it didn’t taste exactly like snickers it was very nice. It was almost like cookies and cream + nuts. The absolute chocolate was also nice but I felt like it could be a little more chocolatey.

Food and drinks

I got to try out other items from the menu like the strawberry milkshake, burger meal and the double cheese mushroom toastie.

Burger meal (Scoop’d Burger) – N2,300

The burger was served with a portion of chips, ketchup dip and a soft drink. The burger was made-up of chicken, BBQ sauce, pickles, tomato, mozzarella cheese and lettuce. At first the burger didn’t seem like a lot but after a bite you would fall in love with it’s taste. The bun was very tender and soft. All the burger ingredients were adequate and really fuse in perfectly. The chips were crispy and nice.

Strawberry milkshake – N2,200

The strawberry milkshake was simply divine! I excitingly got to witness how it was made and I appreciated the milkshake even more. It was creamy and very luscious.

Double cheese mushroom toastie – N2,000

At first after placing my order and finding out there was no protein in the toastie I wanted to cancel the order but the staff managed to convince me to go for it because it is really tasty. When my order came I was like hmmmm…. isn’t this too small? After my first bite I totally understood the assignment! The toastie was so tasty that I totally forgot there was no protein in it. It was well seasoned and properly made. The cheese and mushrooms really filled every bite! I enjoyed it.

General Review

I absolutely loved scoop’d and I think it is worth the trip. The variety menu options will leave you no room for dissatisfaction. The restaurant space is perfect and fits its purpose.

I look forward to visiting again and also hearing about your own scoop’d experience.
